What we expect & what we get are often two entirely different things...
especially with our canine companions. The easily trained, reliable and stable canine companion we envision often turns into a hole-digging, noisy, jumping, irritating pet who refuses to be housebroken, destroys household furnishings and can't possibly be allowed to join us with visiting friends.
Nobody wants or needs this kind of companion. The stress created by an uncontrollable dog does not have to be part of one's daily life.
Proper training techniques used with young puppies and with older dogs (yes, they can still be trained!) can create a responsive and enjoyable pet and bridge the communication gap between you and your dog.
